Glossary

  • Target

    The collective group of individuals aimed to be reached through advertising efforts

  • Net Reach

    Number of targeted individuals reached at least once by the advertising message.

  • Effective Coverage

    Number of targeted individuals impacted by the advertisement at least N times.

  • GRP

    A raw and unrefined measure of an advertising campaign's effectiveness: it can be determined by calculating Penetration x Frequency, or alternatively, Gross Contacts on Target x 100.

  • Affinity Measurement

    Measures the concentration of GRPs in a plan targeting a specific audience compared to the concentration of GRPs from the same plan across the entire population.

  • Market Reach

    Percentage of the target audience reached at least once by the advertisement.

  • Effective Reach

    percentage of the target audience reached by the advertisement at least N times

  • Frequency

    The number of times an individual is impacted by the advertising message.

  • Effective Frequency

    The minimum number of times an individual needs to encounter an advertising message before it yields the desired impact and makes the communication truly effective.

  • Average Frequency

    Average number of times an individual is exposed to the advertising message.
